Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with security architects, system architects, C&A personnel, and product developers to provide technical security enhancements to target systems. The candidate must be able to apply software engineering practices across the board with an emphasis on C&A. Particularly important is the ability to translate security policy into actionable technical requirements and either implement the solution to the generated requirements or provide insight to project developers as to how to do so. The candidate will additionally be responsible for ensuring that projects have the proper knowledge to be able to create the required documentation for system certification. In some cases, the candidate will be required to directly assist with the development of C&A documentation. Monthly work reports will be required.

 

 



Position Qualifications:

• The candidate must have technical knowledge and hands-on implementation experience in security engineering, application development, and UNIX-like system integration. Candidate must have experience with scripting languages (PERL, Ruby, etc...)
• Demonstrated experience using programming languages (C, C++, JAVA, etc...), and at least one object oriented programming language (JAVA, Ruby, etc...).
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX administration, Nessus or similar network security scanning tools, J2EE programming, unit testing, reverse engineering, systems automation, and requirements derivation.
• Exposure to DCID 6/3, DoD, or NIST security standards for processing classified/sensitive information on data systems including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) is desired.
• The candidate must be results oriented, self-motivated and possess effective communication skills.

Education:
Candidate must meet the education requirement in the labor category template, or have years over the required amount for degree equivalency.

 

 

 

US Citizenship required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
